Regulating Activities
ADHD is a neurological condition that impairs our ability to focus, manage time, or plan tasks, which directly impacts how we sleep, eat, move, and rest. It disrupts emotional regulation, shatters our self-esteem, and contributes to elevated stress and anxiety. This creates a dysregulation loop where poor sleep and high stress don't just feel bad; they actively weaken our executive function. Understanding the connection between lifestyle behaviors and cognitive performance is key to improving the well-being of individuals with ADHD.
Mainstream advice and rigid systems rarely work for a neurodivergent brain. Addressing ADHD lifestyle by creating adapted interventions will set a solid foundation to manage symptoms by supporting healthy/optimal brain function and strengthening executive functions.
A supportive ADHD lifestyle focuses on:
-
Sleep Hygiene
-
Nutrition
-
Movement & Exercise
-
Mindfulness & Somatic Awareness
-
Time in Nature
Whole-Person ADHD Support
I've always been passionate about health and wellness and dedicated over two decades to the field. As a practitioner in Yoga Therapy (Medical Yoga), animal-assisted therapy, health coaching, and Ayurvedic counseling, I supported individuals through addiction recovery, cancer survivorship, and complex health challenges.
Bringing a dedicated wellness focus to my ADHD coaching was a natural evolution. My work centers on the whole person, integrating nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, sleep, nutrition, and emotional well-being into an ADHD-friendly, shame-free framework.
Through community memberships, workshops, and specialized programs, we will address both physical and emotional wellness so we have the best chance to achieve harmony and thrive.
1. Physical Wellness
-
Sleep Support: Navigate sleep delay, inconsistent schedules, and poor sleep quality.
-
Targeted Nutrition: Address dopamine-seeking eating patterns, irregular meals, mineral balances, and low interoception.
-
Sustainable Movement: Overcome motivation blocks and build an enjoyable, regular physical activity routine.
2. Emotional Wellness
-
Emotional Regulation: Learn practical tools for overwhelm, intense emotions, and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD).
-
Nervous System Regulation: Soothe sensory overload, manage chronic stress, and restore balance during dopamine dips.
